As we approach the culmination of another fruitful year, I am delighted to share a momentous announcement. In the year 2024, Midwest Refrigeration will be commemorating an extraordinary achievement—50 years of unwavering commitment and excellence in the realm of refrigeration services.
With profound pride and appreciation, we reflect upon the incredible journey that has led us to this significant juncture. Over the span of the last five decades, Midwest Refrigeration has not only expanded and adapted but has also flourished, owing its success to the steadfast support of our esteemed clients, partners, and dedicated team members.
Founded as a humble family-owned enterprise in a home office in 1974 by Ken and Fran Wardell, Midwest Refrigeration underwent a significant transition in 1994 when Ken and Linda Schoon assumed ownership after Ken Wardell’s terminal diagnosis. The Schoon’s steered the company until their well-deserved retirement in 2016. The reins were then held by their children. Today brother’s Mark and Dave, and a steadfast team of long-term employees have evolved Midwest Refrigeration into a provider of nationwide commercial refrigeration services, boasting a team of over 80 employees spread across 5 states.
Remaining true to its core values of integrity and excellence, both in relationships and craftsmanship, Midwest Refrigeration has carved a niche for itself as an industry pacesetter. The company’s stellar reputation as a leader in commercial refrigeration services is attributed to its provision of personalized solutions delivered with unparalleled levels of customer service.
